What's the purpose of the Add Settlement Document tab?
How do we upload what documents are to be handed over/collected?

What's the purpose of the Add Settlement Document tab?
If you were bringing additional settlement documents to hand over at settlement, you could add them to Settlement Room in advance.   You might be putting in an order on the agent or a notice of assessment or any other details or document that you might be bringing to settlement to hand over. If you say that you are bringing that to settlement you are able to upload that document and the bank or purchaser is able to view online prior. You can also add other documents, such as your settlement statement, details of how you came to the balance to vendor and share this in advance of actual settlement. Back to top.
Settlement instructions in general are difficult for settlement clerks. How do we upload what documents are to be handed over/collected?
The Documents Tab will allow you to upload a copy of any document you note you will be bringing to settlement. Both the Incoming and Outgoing Mortgagees will list the documents they wish to collect and sight. All the entries within the Settlement Document section will feature in the Settlement Summary. The Settlement Summary will have the instructions loaded and can form part of your settlement instructions. To download the summary, click on the Actions menu on the right hand side of the page.  Back to top.
If there's not a document listed i.e. original mortgage with the discharge of mortgage, do we just phone SAI Global Property?
You should contact the Financial Institution directly to confirm what documents are being handed over or expected to be collected at settlement if they are not noted in the Documents Tab. Back to top.
Can a document be retrieved and saved to our own system or just viewed via the Documents Tab?
Yes, you can download the documents and attach it to another file. Back to top.
Are there any restrictions when uploading a document?
Documents being uploaded via the “Add Settlement Document” or “Add Document” feature can be either PDF, TIFF or RTF format, and under 10MB in size. Also, the file name (not description) needs to be under 255 characters and not contain a full stop, forward or back slash.  Back to top.
