Water/ Plumbing Products

SAI Global Product Certification offers a wide range of certification schemes tailored for water/plumbing products. These certification services include:
StandardsMark™ certification is offered by SAI Global for a large number of water/plumbing products, for example, products for water infrastructure supplies, such as pipes, pipe fittings, water heaters, taps, toilet suites, rainwater diversion devices, polyethylene rainwater tanks and many more.
WaterMark Certification Scheme is a regulatory scheme where the WaterMark is called upon by the Plumbing Regulators and detailed in the Plumbing Code of Australia (Code).  The Code establishes the WaterMark Certification Scheme (WMCS), which provides a uniform national approach to plumbing product approvals.
Provided the product carries the WaterMark Certification Mark it will be accepted throughout Australia, subject to installation in accordance with the plumbing and drainage practices requirements and any possible additional local requirements. SAI Global has extensive experience in auditing products in the plumbing and water area and offers a comprehensive certification program.
The certification requirements for particular plumbing products are related to the ‘risk’ to the plumbing and drainage system, and can be allocated to two levels: an audit program for higher risk products (WaterMark Level 1) and a type test program (WaterMark Level 2) for lower risk products.
Plumbing Type Test Certification is offered by SAI Global for materials/products that will benefit from independent verification, either as part of a supply chain to certified end products or by customer demand. There are requirements within many product standards for raw materials to show compliance. The Type Test certification is an ideal way for the supplier to show that their material/product complies.
Unlisted Product Certification has been developed for plumbing products that are not currently covered by an existing Standard or Technical Specification, but require WaterMark certification, SAI Global offers clients a service for currently Unlisted Products.
This process is based on a Technical Specification that is developed by the client and that addresses all relevant design, performance, installation, operation and maintenance aspects of the product.
Second Party Inspections and Assessments are based on the requirements of our clients, as opposed to a specific Standard. The compliance can be to a process or to a product, against an agreed specification. The purpose of a second party inspection and assessment is to provide the customer with objective evidence of compliance to a specification, as agreed between customer and supplier.
