May: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires Global Trust Certification in Ireland, adding to its food safety assurance programs.
February: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires Compliance 360 in USA strengthening its suite of Compliance solutions.
2011
June: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires the Advancing Food Safety Systems Pty Limited, a boutique leading food safety training organisation operating in Australia and NZ.  
October: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires a controlling interest in a South African food Assurance provider, forming a new joint venture in South Africa.
2010
July: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) Compliance Services business acquires Integrity Interactive Corporation, a leading US based Compliance & Ethics solutions provider.
March: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) secured 100% holdings in Espreon Limited, property services, mortgage settlement, stamping and registration services and business searching, having initiated a takeover in 2009.  Together with Anstat property Services and UTS, this now forms SAI’s Property Services Division.
April: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires FoodCheck Limited, a leading UK provider of assurance primarily in food service sectors and retail sector supplier management auditing.
SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires the assets of Imtest Laboratories Limited, a NZ PPE testing facility, forming SAI Global NZ Limited, part of Assurance – Product Certification.
2009
December: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) commences takeover proceedings for Espreon Limited.
October: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires Cintellate Pty Limited, a compliance solutions provider based in Western Australia and operating also from USA and Belgium, to join the SAI Compliance Division.
October: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquired Enertech Aust Pty Limited, a testing facility with a focus on electrical appliances, to join Assurance – Product Certification.
January: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) makes a take over offer for Espreon Limited, a leading provider of property information services.
SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) finalises a joint venture with its Assurance agents in Russia, forming SAI Global Eurasia.

2008

SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires global Whistleblower Hotline Service provider, Listen Up, adding to its suite of governance, risk and compliance tools.
SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) forms a joint venture in Korea with a Korean assurance services body.

September: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) (via Anstat) acquires property information business of Kwikrule Pty Limited (known as UTS or Universal Title Searchers). 
 
February: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires Quality Management Institute (“QMI”), the leading Auditing and Certification Body (or Registrar) in Canada and the United States.

2007

April: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) merges its New Zealand assurance business with Telarc in New Zealand to form Telarc-SAI.

January: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires Midi in the US.

2006

November: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) SAI opens services JV in China called CQC-SAI

September: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires Certo in the Europe.

May: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires ILI in the UK and US. 

March: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires CCS in the UK.

2005

December: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires EFSIS in Europe.

August: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires the Anstat Group in Australia. 

May: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires Easy i Holdings Limited in the United Kingdom. 

February: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires CRS Registrars in North America.

2004

SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) acquires the management systems certification business in Indonesia of the Dutch company, KEMA.

2003

SAI Global Limited lists on the Australian Stock Exchange [ASX] on December 17 under ASX code SAI.

SAI Global Limited acquires the North American certification business assets of Professional Registrar Organization [PRO]. 

SAI Global acquires North American Educations and Training business Excel Partnership Inc.

2002

SAI rebrands its certification business from Quality Assurance Services [QAS] to SAI Global.

Standards Australia International [SAI] acquires parts of the former Australian Quality Council [AQC] including the Australian Business Excellence Awards. 

Opening of US office Bridgeport, New Jersey.

2001

SAI Limited moves its head quarters to Sussex St, Sydney’s CBD. 

SAI Limited’s subsidiary QAS acquires KPMG’s certification businesses in Australian and New Zealand.

1999

Standards Australia changed its “association” status, and was incorporated as an Australian public company limited by guarantee - Standards Australia International Limited.

1998

Standards Australia is the first national Standards body to develop an Internet delivery system for its Standards and technical publications.

1997

Indonesian office opened.

1992

Offices opened in India, Indonesia and New Zealand.

1991

Standards Australia acquires the Industrial Design Council of Australia and the Australian Design Awards.

1990

Standards Australia established a wholly owned subsidiary business, Quality Assurance Services Pty Ltd (QAS), to manage our rapidly expanding certification activities.

1988

The Standards Association changed its name to Standards Australia and signs and memorandum or understanding [MOU] with the Federal Government with recognises Standards Australia as the peak non-government Standards development organisation.

1973

SAA becomes an inaugural member of the Pacific Area Standards Congress [PASC].

1966

The independent assurance mark, the StandardsMark, is introduced.

1950

SAA receives a Royal Charter to develop Standards in the national interest.

1947

The International Organization for Standardization is established with SAA a founding member.

1929

The Australian Commonwealth Engineering Standards Association changed its name to the Standards Association of Australia [SAA].

1925

Australia joins the International Electro-technical Commission [IEC] with the Standards Association as its representative.

1922

Australian Commonwealth Engineering Standards Association founded.
