Changes to Electronic Transactions Regulation

In line with the Emergency Bill, the Electronic Transactions Regulation has been temporarily amended.

The additional regulations provide for:

•            documents to be witnessed by audio visual link,

•            tasks necessary to witness a document can be done by audio visual link, and

•            allow a statutory declaration be witnessed by a person so permitted by the Statutory Declarations Act 1959 (C'wealth).


These amendments are temporary and expected to be of effect for a maximum of 6 months.
