The management of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) risks is a minimum requirement in every workplace.

An effective OHS Management System can help to establish the framework of compliance with the two fundamental elements of most OHS legislation:

  • That employers provide and maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk
  • That employees take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others

With SAI Global Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, you have the choice of several well recognized standards.

ISO is currently developing the first ever international standard for OHS. The proposed new standard has a high level framework that will allow organisations who have multiple management systems achieve better integration and easier implementation.

It provides a participative and risk based approach that is key to long term sustainability and success in minimising harm to workers.
