SRO New Digital Duties Form

State Revenue Office (SRO) Victoria's new all-in-one digital duties form for property transfers, will become mandatory to use from 1 July 2017.

This will replace existing paper-based land transfer duty forms, and enable electronic data pre-population into the Duties Online system.

Webinars that include live demonstrations to cover the basics of how to complete the digital form will begin in May and continue into June and July. We recommend you attend one of these webinars so you are aware of the changes and familiar with the online system. Register for webinars here.

Enhancements to Duties Online will enable users to:

  • Pre-populate duties transaction information,
  • Create an online form within the system,
  • Track the status of a form,
  • Sign a form digitally,
  • See when a client has signed the form, and
  • Store digital forms for seven years

This new form  will be required for all contracts or agreements for land transfer duty entered into on or after 1 July 2017.
