Land Victoria Paper Certificate of Titles (pCTs) to Electronic Certificate of Titles (eCTs)

Under s27BAA of the Transfer of Land Act 1958, the Registrar may declare certificates of title or classes of certificates of title to be void and of no effect.

The eCT is required to be able to transact in PEXA. eCTs will become more common in the conveyancing process and you need to familiarise yourself with them. Attached is a Guide to assist.

VIC LTO are working with 4 of the major FI to convert 2M of the remaining pCTs to eCTs by end of this year.
