Authority Updates - Victoria - June 2016

Transfers by Direction

As from 1 July 2016, the T1 as we know it will no longer exist.

Land Victoria no longer issues licenses for the use of the T1 and the only Transfer of Land now available for use is the interactive Transfer of Land.

This will also mean that you will no longer be able to complete transfers by direction for deceased estates and will be required to complete separate transfers. The interactive Transfer of Land does not include provision for a directing party because it has been aligned with the content of the electronic transfer in Property Exchange Australia (PEXA).

Land Victoria has advised us of the following:

From 1 July 2013, Land Victoria no longer approved the use of the T1 Transfer of Land form. This applied to new applications and applications to renew a current approval. Therefore, when the two year approval period for the T1 Transfer of Land form passed, the form was considered expired.

This 'run off' period for this form expires on 30 June 2016.
