Authority Update Queensland: OSR Changes for forms

The Office of State Revenue (OSR) QLD is implementing a second stage of additional information requirements on 3 October 2017.

The additional information requirements will apply to transactions involving the transfer of real property, where the transferor or transferee is a non-Australian entity. The information collected will be provided to the ATO and used to monitor foreign investment in Australia.

Updated duties forms with the additional information requirements are now available online.

The additional information will be required in OSRconnect for transactions that are to be assessed on or after 3 October 2017.

Practitioners should update the forms on their systems with the updated forms. To mitigate issues with finalising assessments in OSRconnect on or after 3 October 2017, where possible, it is recommended that practitioners provide the updated forms to clients.

The Queensland Law Society and OSR will be running a webinar to walk you through the updated forms and changes to OSRconnect.
