Authority Update QLD: National Mortgage Form - transition period extended until 2 March 2018

The National Mortgage Form (NMF) was introduced in Queensland on 27 May 2017 for paper mortgages.

The initial transitional period was until 31 December 2017, however this has now been extended to 2 March 2018.

Form 2 Mortgages will still be accepted until the National Mortgage Form (NMF) becomes mandatory on 2 March 2018.

For more information regarding the NMF please refer to Titles Registry Alert 134 and guide to completing a NMF can be found here.

The Land Title Practice Manual was recently updated to include Part 2A - Mortgage (National Mortgage Form).

It was anticipated that the NFM would be available to lodge electronically in July 2017, this has now been moved to later in 2018.
