Authority Update - National - April 2017

Australian Registrars' National Electronic Conveyancing Council (ARNECC) have advised, that the roll out dates for the National Mortgage Form have changed.

ARNECC have advised, that the roll out dates for the National Mortgage Form have changed to a two-stage implementation timetable across Australia, details as follows: 

  • 10 June 2017 - National Mortgage Form available for lodgement in Victoria (paper and electronic, during transitional period).
  • 22 July 2017 - National Mortgage Form available for lodgement in New South Wales, Queensland (paper and electronic, during transitional period) , SA and WA.

From 27 May 2017, a downloadable version of the National Mortgage Form (NMF) will be made available via the Land Use Victoria website and Department of Natural Resources and Mines (DNRM) Title register webpage, for paper lodgements, until 10 June 2017 when PEXA electronic lodgement will be available.

There will be a 6 month transition period until 31 December 2017 during which time both old and new mortgage forms will be accepted. 

Mortgages signed after 31 December 2017 must be on the new form for both paper and electronic dealings.

Paper lodgements will only be accepted after 1 January 2018 if they have been prepared, signed and dated prior to 1 January 2018.
