23rd Australian HACCP Conference in review

On the 5th – 6th of October, food safety professionals from across Australia and from all facets of the food industry attended the annual two-day Australian HACCP Conference.

The conference, hosted at the InterContinental Melbourne - the Rialto, explored the theme of 'integrity + innovation' reflecting the unique challenges that global food supply chains pose as well as exploring the need for innovation in food safety. 

Over the course of the two-day conference, some of the program highlights were:

  • Hugh Pennington's video on the risk of bacterial outbreak, highlighted the all too real threats to public health. View the video now>>
  • Hearing open and insightful perspectives from industry leaders during our two panel sessions.  
  • The hands-on Foreign Object Detection System workshop, which provided delegates with a one-time only opportunity to dive deep into the technical methodology of these complex systems as well as ask questions of the experts. 
  • Celebrating success at our awards dinner and congratulating:
    • Leah Williamson, True Foods - winner of the Ross Peters' Award for Excellence in Food Safety
    • Anna Tran, ARYZTA - winner of the Leaders of the Future, Food Safety Learning Scholarship
    • Gary Erickson, Coolsan Australia Pty Ltd - winner of the Innovators in Food Safety Award
