Personal Care Products Council
Understand risks. Facilitate understanding. Take action.
Governments and regulatory agencies around the world are imposing new standards on the personal care and cosmetic industry to ensure product safety. SAI Global’s Personal Care Manufacturing Assessment Program (PCMAP) is the only resource you need to ensure your products and business operations comply with these emerging standards, no matter where you do business in the world.
Ensure cosmetic or personal care products comply with new safety regulations emerging around the globe.
Developed in conjunction with the Personal Care Products Council, PCMAP is based on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that provide guidance on the human, technical and administrative factors affecting product quality and safety—in particular ISO 22716, which deals specifically with cosmetics, and ISO 9001. Along with several other resources, we’ve combined these principles to create a comprehensive quality and safety program for cosmetic and personal care businesses.
Key Components of the PCMAP Program:
Training: PCMAP training courses designed to explain the PCMAP requirements and how to implement the PCMAP program at your company.
Implementation Guide: The implementation guide features full detail around each PCMAP requirement as well as tips and instructions for implementation.
Pre-assessment: Think of this as a practice assessment. This low risk review of your present status by a PCMAP qualified assessor is an opportunity to identify where gaps in program requirements exist within your operations.
Certified PCMAP Assessment: Full compliance with the PCMAP assessment requirements are certified by SAI Global, annual follow up assessments are scheduled, and a certificate is issued.
PCMAP Online Portal: The PCMAP Portal enables sharing of assessment reports with multiple customers, resulting in cost-savings due to reducing the need for multiple assessments at the plant level.
