The CodeMark Scheme is a building product certification scheme for Australia and New Zealand. The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) and New Zealand’s Department of Building and Housing (DBH) manage the scheme in their respective countries. CodeMark Certification for a product means a guaranteed acceptance by the regulatory bodies and is a clear demonstration that the product meets its mandatory compliance requirements.
SAI Global as an approved certification body will evaluate and certify products to ensure they meet the specified requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and/or the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC). Any organization seeking to have their product evaluated for CodeMark can apply to SAI Global directly.
Any organisation that can satisfy SAI Global that its product meets these requirements can have its product CodeMark certified.
