Her board committee work has included audit, compensation, search, and conflicts committees.  She will participate in a discussion titled “The Role of the Board” at the PLI Corporate Compliance and Ethics Institute in Chicago on May 13-14.  In this discussion, she will be joined by other speakers offering insight into the evolving regulatory environment and need for increased transparency in corporate governance.

“In addition to modeling high standards of ethical conduct themselves, directors must verify that management is taking ethics and compliance seriously,” states Ms. Peterson.  “In today’s economic situation of rising governance expectations and reduced internal resources, it is more important than ever that best practices be applied within the organization to identify, understand, and actively manage risk.”
