Melbourne Australia - May 18, 2010 - Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and the Compliance Division of SAI Global Limited (SAI) were announced by Training Australia Magazine as the 2010 LearnX Platinum Award winners for Best Compliance Training Program.
The ASX was seeking better ways to ensure staff awareness of regulatory and internal policy requirements. The previous approaches, including e-mailed policy attachments with vote buttons, were cumbersome and had limited scope to assure key policy obligations had been absorbed and understood. After ASX's selection process, SAI Global was the provider chosen to deliver better compliance awareness training, with its highly interactive format that modelled the desired work behaviours being the feature that caught ASX'sinterest. From an extensive course library available form SAI, ASX initially chose to focus on fraud prevention, data protection and physical security.
"I know our compliance awareness increased as the SAI Global learning management system allowed us to more effectively engage all staff, monitor course completions and also test staff on their comprehension of the policy obligations. We could drill down to the individual level to see course progress and results and also had records to demonstrate that the training had been undertaken,” said Richard Killalea, Senior Risk and Compliance Manager.
This is the third year that SAI Global has received recognition from Training Australia Magazine, having received the Green Training award with RIAA in 2008, Green Training Platinum Award with GE Custom Fleet in 2009, and Platinum award for Best Compliance Training Program in 2009.
"The 2010 award validates that our approach to compliance learning is producing the right outcomes for our clients. We model the desired work behaviours through scenarios that bring to life the compliance issue. Our online learning methodology allows staff to undertake training when it suits their workload resulting in reduced business disruption. When combined with our learning management system and services, our clients have a powerful set of learning tools to drive and enhance a compliance culture and demonstrate positive intent to regulators," according to Alf Esteban, SAI Global Compliance AsiaPacific General Manager.
