Play video

Sam Eastwood discusses the importance of top level commitment and how it is crucial to developing and maintaining the ethical integrity of any business.

Sam’s experience includes: pursuing and defending claims arising from significant corporate acquisitions; competition litigation; advising on joint venture and shareholder disputes; fraud investigation; seeking injunctive relief and the conduct of corporate investigations. Sam also advises on anti-corruption issues in connection with companies’ internal compliance policies and procedures, international business transactions and internal corporate investigations.

The UK Bribery Act will see senior board members held liable and fully accountable for the actions of their employees and third parties under the new corporate offence of ‘failure to prevent bribery’. Never has it been more crucial for senior management to be equipped with a thorough understanding of their responsibilities when it comes to the prevention of bribery and corruption and the necessary skills to carry these out.
