Coaching to Deliver Process Improvement |
Deriving success from a process improvement initiative requires the effective implementation of learnt skills and the achievement of desirable outcomes. To ensure that your outcomes are achieved, it is essential that the PICs within your organisation are provided with the right support and coaching from an experienced Process Improvement Specialist.
SAI Global’s 7 Day Process Improvement Coaching Program is structured to provide hands on training to your appointed project teams to ensure learned improvement techniques can be effectively applied to organisational processes to achieve the correct outcomes. The coaching program is comprised of sessions that are conducted in consultation with your organisation to ensure that the initiative adheres to an acceptable timeline. Along the way, participants will have the opportunity to learn from each other as well as to receive guidance from an experienced Process Improvement Specialist.
Coaching Day 1
This session is typically held two weeks after the initial training. In preparation for this session, your PICs will be required to develop project charters for their allocated projects. The charters are then reviewed in a workshop format to ensure their effective completion of the training and further guidance is provided to progress the project plan into its initial phases.
Coaching Day 2
This session is typically held two weeks after the first day of coaching. In preparation for this session, the PICs will be required to complete all required steps in the initial phase of the process improvement cycle. Deliverables are reviewed in a workshop format to ensure they have been completed effectively and further guidance is provided to progress the project into the next phase.
Coaching Days 3-6
These coaching sessions will focus on the required deliverables for each project phase and intended to reinforce the required learning for the PICs. Prior to these sessions, the PICs will be required to complete all required steps for the applicable phase. The deliverables will be reviewed by the Process Improvement Specialist prior to progressing to the next phase of the project.
Coaching Day 7
The aim of this session will be the review the core learnings of the Process Improvement Program in the context of the completed initiatives. In a workshop format, the coach will provide tips for further refinement and consolidate process improvement learnings.
Ongoing Coaching
Individual PICs may require additional support in delivering successful outcomes for their allocated initiatives. An experienced Process Improvement Specialist will be available to provide support and guidance on an “as needed” basis.
