The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety has been extensively revised in consultation with senior representatives from major retailers and food service companies. The Standard has been updated to provide increased emphasis good manufacturing practice and ensures that the requirements of manufacturers and retailers are met.
BRC Standards’ international use has grown substantially, with over 8,500 food suppliers certified in over 80 countries. It has also been recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) since its inception and this has led to recognition by international retailers such as Wal-Mart, Ahold, Metro and Delhaize.
