Biomedical Laboratory & Blood Bank accreditation is a program developed in partnership by the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) that will assess compliance with requirements for biomedical laboratories, blood banks, and transfusion services consistent with CSA standards, including ISO 15189 and Z902-04.
QMI – SAI Global is extremely excited to partner with the most recognized healthcare accreditation body in Canada, which provides accreditation services to hospitals and long-term care facilities through a peer-review survey process.
In this joint project with CCHSA, QMI – SAI Global’s professional third party auditors will be part of every biomedical laboratory and blood bank survey that takes place in hospitals all over Canada. This adds tremendous value to the CCHSA process as our auditors have an independent, unbiased viewpoint, as well as compliance-based auditing experience to bring to the survey teams.
