Purpose
This course is designed to provide organisations with an understanding of the requirements of the fourth edition of SafetyMAP and to provide an awareness of audit best practice for using this tool.

- Identify the key documentation requirements for each element
- Understand how SafetyMAP can be integrated with other Standard requirements
- Understand the interrelationships between the various criteria.

- Are developing and implementing an OHSMS in accordance with SafetyMAP 4th Edition
- Integrating existing management systems
- Making the transition from 3rd Edition to 4th Edition SafetyMAP
- Have the responsibility for managing the audit process for an organisation.

This course is particularly suited to organisations that wish to adopt 4th Edition SafetyMAP as an audit tool for their OHS management systems. The course is suitable for those charged with developing and implementing Occupational Health and Safety Management System. The course can be tailored to meet the needs of the organisation using existing internal procedures.
Prerequisites
It is desirable that the participants have attended courses in ‘Understanding Environmental Risks and Performance Evaluation’ and/or ‘OHS Risk Management’. An understanding of management systems is also desirable. Those participants who have attended courses in either ‘Internal Auditor Training’, ‘Lead Auditor Training in Quality Management Systems’, ‘Environmental Management Systems Auditor’ or ‘OHS Management Systems Auditor’ will be greatly advantaged.
