Terry McAuley is on the Australian Standards Committee responsible for both AS/NZS 4187 and AS/NZS 4815. Terry is an independent Sterilisation and Infection Control consultant. Prior to this, Terry had first hand experience in implementing the original requirements of AS 4187-1994 in a major metropolitan teaching hospital. She has conducted consultancies in sterilising departments for a number of Victorian hospitals, assisting them to improve compliance with the Standard and to identify areas for productivity and efficiency gains. Her background and experience has given her a unique perspective on the implications the subsequent revisions of these Standards may have on hospitals and office based facilities.
