Systems Administrator

This position is a fulltime role based in the Melbourne. This role will see the successful candidate provide ongoing support and maintenance of various business systems.



Duties for the role include:

• Co-ordinate and deliver systems support as per Support Methodology
• Administration of Unix and Windows environment including capacity planning, monitoring of systems & network usage
• Resolve System and Network Support issues, with particular focus to Applications and Supporting Systems.
• Contribution to the design, implementation and management of servers and SANs
• Contribution to disaster recovery project plans
• Manage IT projects and tasks



Key Criteria for the role include:
• Tertiary qualifications in IT
• Microsoft Certification MCSE
• Expertise in operating system concepts and skills, primarily Unix/Linux, Windows would be favourable
• Experience in programming concepts and skills (Unix/Linux shell scripts, Perl, SQL, MySQL, RDBMS)
• Experience in management of network and Internet security, configure and manage Routers, Switches, Firewall and IP Priority devices
• Project Management skills
• Excellent team relationship skills
