Rebecca Herold is an information security, privacy and compliance consultant, and owner and principal of Rebecca Herold & Associates, LLC. Ms. Herold has worked in the information security and privacy fields for more than twenty years and works with a wide range of organizations throughout the world to implement and sustain information security, privacy and compliance programs in ways that support their business. Her program recommendations help organizations comply with an ever-increasing number of national and international laws and regulations, encourage IT departments to communicate and work harmoniously with other business units, minimize risks to sensitive company and personal information, and make personnel aware of how to work more effectively while safeguarding information.
Ms. Herold was ranked as one of the top 59 influencers for 2007 by IT Security. Computerworld included her and her firm on their list of the 25 top privacy expertsand 9 best consulting firms of 2007, and top privacy advisers of 2008. She is also an Advisory Board member of multiple organizations.
Ms. Herold is an MSIA (Master of Science Information Assurance), adjunct professor at Norwich University, and prolific author currently working on her fourteenth published book. Additionally, she has written dozens of book chapters and over 200 published articles.
