Mr. Levine is Co-Chair of Herrick, Feinstein's Litigation Department. An experienced trial attorney, his practice focuses on the defense of multi-party tort and contract actions. During the past twenty-five years, Ron has represented corporate defendants in such high- visibility matters as the Love Canal proceedings in New York,; the toxic shock syndrome actions,; the smoking and health litigation,; the repetitive stress keyboard cases,; the lead paint litigation,; and the Firestone tire recall. He regularly advises clients on strategies and programs involving records management and discovery, and crisis management.

Ron chaired the New York State Bar Association's Committee on Legal Education and Admission to the Bar, and has served on numerous committees for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is a member of the Board of the Product Liability Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and was selected to serve as a sustaining member of the Product Liability Advisory Council. He was asked by N.J. Governor Christie Whitman to serve on a council on tort reform, and he served as counsel to the Civil Justice Reform Group in connection with amending the state's tort laws.

He is the author of more than two dozen articles on trial practice, crisis management, and tort law*, and is an Editor of the nationally published Product Liability Law and Strategy. A recent article by one of his colleagues, Ten Steps to an Effective Document Retention Program, addresses issues raised in SAI Global's Record Retention program which Ron has helped SAI Global develop. He has lectured for the American Corporate Counsel Association, the Defense Research Institute, the American Society for Industrial Security and the American Insurance Services Group, among other organizations.

He has worked on the staffs of a U.S. Senator and a N.J. State Commissioner, and has served on the planning board of West Windsor, NJ, where he lives.

Ron graduated with honors from Harvard Law School, and received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Princeton University. Prior to joining Herrick, Feinstein (in 1984) he practiced in the litigation department of Debevoise & Plimpton. He is a member of the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and District of Columbia bars.
