An extensive project involving the planning, development and implementation of a rigorous security training and awareness program for a large US government department.
Following an initial consultation exercise, SAI Global created a long term plan to deliver a comprehensive and ongoing information assurance training and awareness campaign designed to meet the training needs of all internal staff and outside contractors.
The brief was to provide training that will bring about sustained, meaningful behavioral change in learners. The organization wanted to bridge the gap between its security policies and their practical application on a day-to-day basis, helping to reduce information assurance risk.
SAI Global delivered a campaign that combined a range of solutions, including:
- Development of information assurance branding and tagline
- Graphical interactive emails to launch the campaign
- Web-based technical and general user awareness training
- Constructed around job roles and processes with content tailored for different user groups
- A range of innovative security assurance posters and giveaways
- Interactive web-based refresher training modules
The web-based elements of this program were delivered to employees and external contractors via a customised version of SAI Global's learning management system OCCAM.
