SAI Global Compliance Wins 3 National Aegis Awards
Plainsboro, NJ – January 30, 2008 – SAI Global Compliance has won three 2007 National Aegis Awards for courses and Ethical Moments™ developed for its Compliance & Ethics Library. Each was recognized for its outstanding production quality in the category of "Training/Education" videos by a distinguished panel of judges representing industry professionals from around the country. In addition to receiving these three awards, three additional courses were finalists in the competition.
SAI Global Compliance provides corporations globally with effective employee training materials in a broad range of compliance and risk areas including Employment & Workplace (HR) Issues. Communicating with employees on Compliance & Ethics issues is instructionally difficult since not only must the content be legally accurate, but employees must be fully engaged in the material so that they understand, retain and apply their knowledge in everyday work situations.
"Receiving 6 Aegis Award recognitions is tremendously rewarding for our entire team. It’s challenging to create products that are engaging, legally rigorous, and instructionally sound but we strive to do this with every title we create, and it’s nice to be recognized in this way,” said JC Kinnamon, Ph.D., Vice President Product Development, SAI Global Compliance . "Our subject matter experts deserve special recognition," he added. “Their expertise insures that our training is built on a solid legal foundation and their extensive experience provides us with memorable examples to build effective training around.”
SAI Global Compliance is the only compliance and risk management company to be honored with the Aegis Awards. Winning entries and the subject matter experts associated with each are:
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) – Mike Fischer, Quarles & Brady LLP (Milwaukee WI)
- Ethical Moment | Diversity: "Family Ties" – Jeff Kaplan, Kaplan & Walker LLP (Princeton NJ)
- Ethical Moment | Sexual Harassment: "Just Kidding" – Jeff Kaplan, Kaplan & Walker LLP (Princeton NJ)
In addition, three other projects were named as Aegis Award finalists:
- When Employees Raise Business Conduct Concerns – Lori Tansey Martens, President, International Business Ethics Institute (Washington DC)
- Preventing Discrimination in the Workplace (Supervisors) – Karen Corman, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP (Los Angeles CA)
- Ethical Moment | Moonlighting: "A Little Secret" – Jeff Kaplan, Kaplan & Walker (Princeton NJ)
