SAI Global Announces New Copyright Compliance Program Developed with Copyright Clearance Center
New Jersey, US, 22 May 2007. SAI Global, a leading provider of compliance and ethics programs and services, today announced the release of a new resource to raise corporate awareness of copyright issues, developed in partnership with Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), the world’s largest provider of text licensing services.

The brief video program, Copyright Compliance: I Think We Need Permission, forms part of SAI Global’s Ethical Moments® series, which is designed to address key compliance and ethics issues.

Tom Parry, President of the Americas Compliance Division of SAI Global, said: “This new program is a valuable addition to SAI Global’s compliance and ethics resources, and offers guidance on an important legal risk area. By collaborating with CCC, the world’s premier text licensing services provider, we were able to create a program that briefly and effectively highlights the copyright issues everyone should be aware of.”

Bill Burger, Vice President of Marketing at CCC, said the program is a valuable resource for companies of any size, and would be welcomed by many. “New information technologies, including the Internet, are fast changing the ways people find and use content,” said Burger. “As a result, many companies are asking for tools and training that encourage respect for copyright and other intellectual property. This program will expand awareness and help employees recognize copyright issues that arise in the workplace.”

SAI Global currently offers more than 30 Ethical Moments® on a wide range of topics, including diversity, conflicts of interest, export controls and data privacy. For further information on courses, please contact Salendria Mabrey on 609-955-5123 or info.americas@saiglobal.com.
