SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI). SAI received a letter dated 20 February 2009 from the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) stating that the ACCC does not propose to intervene in SAI’s acquisition of Espreon Limited, pursuant to section 50 of the Trade Practices Act 1974.
Following receipt of this letter and SAI acquiring a relevant interest in more than 50.1% of the shares in Espreon, SAI declared that its takeover offer was free from all conditions set out in section 9.8(a) of the Bidder’s Statement on 20 February 2009.
The offer remains open for acceptances until 7.00pm Sydney time on 11 March 2009.
