Auckland, New Zealand, 12 July 2007. SAI Global Limited’s (ASX: SAI) New Zealand arm, Telarc SAI Limited, has merged with the operations of the New Zealand Council on Healthcare Standards New Zealand.

The news comes following SAI Global New Zealand’s merger with Telarc Limited in May this year, with the latest deal reinforcing the organization’s position as New Zealand’s largest assurance provider.

On announcing the acquisition, SAI Global’s Chief Executive, Ross Wraight, said “SAI continues to extend its geographic footprint in the Asia Pacific region and this latest move further illustrates our commitment to servicing our global assurance clients.”

With the acquisition of Quality Health New Zealand, Telarc SAI will be the largest provider of health sector accreditation and certification in the New Zealand market.

In the coming year, Telarc SAI will be working to develop a number of programs tailored specifically for clients in the health industry.”
