SAI completes A$81 million placement

SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) is pleased to announce it has successfully raised A$81 million through a conditional placement of 27 million new ordinary shares to institutional and sophisticated investors (“Placement”). The placement is conditional upon shareholder approval at a General Meeting to be held in June 2006.

SAI GLOBAL REPORTS STRONG GROWTH
Sydney, Australia, 23 August 2005. SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) today announced a net profit after tax of $11.4 million, representing an increase of 37.3% over last year’s pro-forma result of $8.3 million. Earnings per share was up 36.1% to 11.3 cents per share from last year’s pro-forma of 8.3 cents.
